Tuck Shop

Last year the cost of the year 6’s residential trip increased due to unforeseen circumstances by the venue.

As the school didn’t want this cost to be incurred by the families who had already committed, the Tuck Shop started to cover the increase.

Since its creation the students have loved the new addition to their Friday morning once a month, with the opportunity to purchase a break time treat.

Our Tuck Shop is organised by the PSA and the stalls manned by our very helpful year sixes.

We have a variety of options available for children from years 1 – 6.

Treats range from 50p – £1 and we have a maximum allowance of £1 spend per child.

On the last Friday of each month, we host our Tuck Shop so during morning break the excited children rush to see what they can buy that day.

The biggest favourite is undoubtably the cookies! (Which having tried ourselves we understand why!).

We have just completed a very successful November Tuck Shop raising roughly £170.

Our next Tuck Shop will be in December on Friday 20th.

Thank you for your on-going support.

After inviting FS to take part in the first Tuck Shop of this school year, we found the experience to be too overwhelming for them as a year group.

As such, the decision was made with the FS teachers, not to include the year group to begin with.

We are going to reassess this as the year progresses and we are trying to create a mini tuck shop so they can feel involved.

If you’re an FS parent and can help us with this, please contact the PSA.

We choose a variety of snacks to hopefully cover all different tastes, but unfortunately there will be times when someone doesn’t like what we have on offer.

As we are sure you can appreciate we can’t always please everyone, but we do try our best.

Great! If they let their teacher know this when they ask for helpers, hopefully one month they will be out supporting us.
