Join us for our first double event after school!
We are trialling out a new format to see if we can make it easier for all those parents who have children in both infants and juniors along with supporting parents who perhaps find it more difficult to commit to the previous format.

- Disco entertainment

Please outline any dietary or medical requirements when purchasing your ticket.
Can you volunteer?
All of our PSA events rely on volunteers helping out.
This can either be leading up to the event, during or both.
Some example jobs roles include:
- Setting up refreshments stand
- Snack Distribution
- Serving Drinks
- Hall supervision

FS – Year 3 Party
We are delighted to be able to invite the Foundation Stage children to their first school party.
The PSA have booked Funky Footsteps to help us create a fun and memorable experience for our younger children.
Instead of purely a disco focus, we are creating more of a party atmosphere where children can take part in fun and games with prizes available. Or they might choose to make use of our colouring stations.
We are mindful that the younger years sometimes need different options and we feel this party experience will benefit them greatly.
Please look at event pick up details below.
Year 4 – 6 Disco
We know our older children love to party, so we have asked Martyn to return as our DJ once more to deliver another fantastic disco!
Please note the biggest difference for this event, is it will take place directly after school as well, so no need for later of double drops offs!
Year 4 – 6 will have the option to pre-order a doughnut or a Tuck Shop favourite cookie as well as having the opportunity to purchase smaller snacks from the sweet stall.
Please look at event pick up details below.

What is PTA Events?
Hopefully most of you are used to our booking system by now, however for the Foundation Stage parents, this may be your first time.
To allow us to track ticket sales and process card payments we use a system called PTA Events. (As seen in screen shot image).
The portal isn’t always the most user-friendly, however, once you’re set up on the system we hope it will be a pain-free experience for you!
You will be able to select your ticket along with the option to sign up as an event volunteer if you are able to.
Please ensure you notify us of any dietary or medical requirements.
And we also have the option for song requests!
How will pick up after the disco work?
We ask that everyone remains patient when it comes to pick-up time. As we are sure you can appreciate, we want to ensure we manage this well so that all children are looked after and sent home in a controlled manner.
FS – Year 3
- Whilst the event ends at 16:45 for the children we are asking for 15 minutes to allow children to collect their things from classrooms and return to the Infant Dining Hall ready for collection.
- As such, we would ask that you queue up at the double doors to the right of the school Reception. We will then lead you to the Infants Dining Hall where your child will be waiting to be collected.
- Once your have picked up your child, please exit the hall via the double doors to the right of the Infant Dining Hall.
If you also have a child attending the Year 4-6 Disco, please pick up your younger child/children first and then collect your eldest.
Year 4 – 6
- The same applies for the older disco, to allow us to safely and calmy allow children to collect their belongings, we will end the entertainment at 16:45 and pick up will start at 17:00.
- Please queue by the doors by the Junior Hall to then be invited in to collect your child.
- Once you have your child/children you will then be directed out of the double doors.
- Please don’t worry if you are collecting a younger child first, we will have plenty of PSA members and staff on hand waiting with the children.

No mobile phones policy
We need out outline our strict no mobile phone policy at our school disco’s.
The use of mobile phones can create a risk to safeguarding for some members of our school community and therefore use will not be tolerated.
Anyone* found with a phone on them during the school disco will have their mobile confiscated and will need to have it collected at the end of the event by their parent.
*We are aware of a small number of children who require phones for medical requirements, this does not apply.
FAQ’s
I’m not sure if my child wants to attend.
That’s not a problem, booking will remain open until Monday 10th February. Have a chat with them and book if you are ready.
I’m worried my child isn’t ready to attend a school disco
Some parents find volunteering a great way to provide emotional support to their children. Feel free to have a chat with us to see if there is a role you could help us with and also ensure your child is happy at the event.
My child has dietary or medical requirements
Not a problem, please make us aware of this when you are booking your ticket. We will have first aid on site at all times during the event.
How will my child get changed into their disco clothes?
We are inviting all children to come to school in their own clothes ready for the event so that there is no need for changing clothes.
Why ‘go wild’ theme?
As the disco falls around valentines day, we didn’t want to focus on this, so instead we came up with ‘Go wild’ so children could wear anything relating to this theme. We have also created a FREE half term activity with the same theme so children can continue to explore the topic.
